Oh. My. Gosh.

I was on Facebook this morning and saw an interesting fan page. So, i've got a challenge for you! Go to Google, type in "50 most popular women on the web", go to the first link, and look at #7...that's probably the best joke i've seen of "her" ever!

Other than that, I don't really have anything to write about. Not even about cupcakes! (That surprises me!)

When there's nothing to write about, just write about cakes! Not only cakes but cupcake cakes!

These are pretty cool, but it'd look a lot better if they were covered in fondant.

...and Jen said cupcake cakes can't look good!

Now this is scary!

Eh, I don't really like this, but they remind me of lily pads...and the photography's good. But that's about it.

Now, I'm getting bored. Bye.

Another Snow Day!

Last night, they called like at 5:30, and it didn't even snow over night and the roads are just fine! But I'm glad we have a snow day! ^^ I think my alarm went off this morning but I probably didn't hear it...I just checked. It was on.

Today, we have a Girl Scout Christmas party!! :D I am so excited!!! We drew names out of a bowl, and the girl I picked wanted silly bandz, and the mall's closed. But they have an awesome silly band collection! I also have to buy for one of my best friends, Britta! Her birthday's on the 21st, and her party's on Sunday! I'm so excited 'cause last year her birthday was a blast! ^^

On Sketchfu, there's apps. My favorite is one called App Academy. It's like a school but with drawing contests, trivia, and you can have your own character! You should see my character!

First, I looked like a boy in a skirt with the hair I chose but then I got 500 points, and I could change anything. So, I changed the hair...now it looks a lot like me!!! ^^

(Have you noticed I've been doing ^^ a lot???)

I saw a commercial yesterday, and it gave me another idea for Cuppy's...Cookies and Cream Cupcakes! They looked cool, but I'll do things a little different. On the commercial, they had two chocolate cupcakes with white icing in the middle of the both of them. But, I'll get one chocolate cupcake, and cut the top off the cupcake. I'll squirt some buttercream in between the top of the cupcake and the part of the cupcake where the cup goes on. It'll be coolio!

I'm also going to start a cookbook, so if you could comment or email some great recipes! ^^

Snow Day!

Today is the 4th snow day of the week! :) I'll just tell you what has gone on all week...

Monday-snow day #1: I woke up at 6 am (just so I could be up for safety patrol). I watched an episode of Full House and got ready. It was 7 am, and Mom hadn't woken up and I had to be at school by 7:15. I went into Mom's room and asked her why she wasn't up (I hadn't looked outside yet). She said there was a snow day and they called at 5:30. She didn't even bother to tell me!!!

Tuesday-snow day #2: Today was a little different...my alarm clock went off at 6 am, again. But I accidently hit the snooze button instead of the dismiss button. I didn't wanna hear it again so I turned the alarm off. I guess I didn't wake up, so I find myself waking up at 8:30...I slept in!

Wednesday-school day #1: I knew we wouldn't have had a snow day today, but I was hoping we wouldn't have a snow day. I was supposed to have a basketball game that was supposed to be Tuesday. We didn't do much at school. It was just a regular day, though I think Mr. Anderson should be a life coach... When we had our basketball game, I really played hard! I've got the defense down, but I need to do better in offense. I think the rest of our team does. We're not doing well in our shooting. We also had two of our best point guards get hurt.

Thursday (today)- snow day #3- Well, I haven't done much today. I slept in today, too...8:45!! :)

A couple days ago, I gave the recipe for my Dr. Suess cupcakes and I found a good Red Velvet Cake recipe the day I posted the cupcake idea but never got around to posting the recipe. So here ya go:

Ingredients:
  • 1 (8 ounce) package Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened, divided
  • 1 1/2 cup Breakstone's sour cream

  • 1/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups powdered sugar

  • Beat 2 oz. cream cheese and sour cream in large bowl with mixer until blended. Add egg whites and cake mix; mix well.
  • Pour into 2 (9-inch) round pans sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Bake 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Cool 10 minutes remove from pans. Cool completely.

Cuppy's Cupcakes!

When I grow up, I'm going to be an orthapedic doctor, be the first girl to play on the Boston Celtics, but the one I'm most excited about...own a cupcake shop called...Cuppy's!!! I know it sounds crazy just because of the name, but it'll be awesome!!! I've already decided the sign! There's going to be a light blue circles with yellow 50's/70's lettering spelling out CUPPY'S with hot or light pink dots on it (I haven't decided which pink!) To the right on top of the sign will be an orange and red rectangular octupus. I'm going to make a paper sign and I'll try to post it on here. The theme inside the shop will be 1950's kitchen and dining room/underwater. I also have two original cupcakes for my shop, chocolate trifle cupcake and the Dr. Seuss cupcake! :)

Chocolate Trifle Cupcake

Insperation: On special occasions like Thanksgiving and Christmas (or if someone asks for it on their birthday) my mom makes a chocolate trifle. All it is, is a layer of crumbled chocolate cake, then pudding, then whipped cream, then crushed Heath bars, then it's repeated again. We put it in a glass bowl that kinda looks like a cupcake cup.

Ingredients:
-1 package (18 1/4 ounces) chocolate fudge cake mix
-1 package instant chocolate pudding mix
-Decaf strong coffee (optional)
-Whipped cream (get the kind with the cool squirty thing at the end of the metal bottle!)
-Heath bars
*If using packaged cake mix, get the ingredients needed)

Instructions:
-Spray pan with non-stick cooking spray.
-Mix cake as package directions (or as instructions directed)
-Scoop the cake mix into the pan.
-Bake as directed or until a toothpick comes out clean.
-While cakes are baking make the instant pudding as directed and chop Heath bars.
-Cool on a wire pan before taking cakes out.
-Once the cakes are taken out put on a layer of pudding as big as wanted.
-Squirt a small (or medium) sized dot of whipped cream and top with Heath bars.
-Enjoy! :)

Dr. Seuss Cupcake

Insperation: Well, I have a book and one chapter's title is "Dr. Seuss Cupcake"...it didn't have a recipe or anything like that. I just got a good idea from that title.

*I haven't tested this out, and I don't know the measurements or anything like that. So, i'm just going with what I think sounds good...you guys can be my guinea pigs! :D

Ingredients:
-Red velvet cake mix (or your own cake mix)
-Yellow vanilla cake mix (or your own cake mix)
-White buttercream
-Blueberries
-Blue, yellow, and red food coloring
-Rice paper

Instructions:
-Spray the pan with non-stick cooking spray
-Mix both of the cake mixes as directed.
-Pour both of the cake mixes into a large bowl. Whisk them together until there's a swirly pattern.
-Scoop the mix into the pan.
-Bake as directed or until a toothpick comes out clean.
-While cakes are baking, cut the rice paper into strips about 1 cm. wide and 2 in. long.
-Pour the red, blue, and yellow food coloring into three seperate bowls, and dip the strips into the colors, but don't mix two colors unless you make the strips purple or green.
-Let rice paper dry.
-Mix the buttercream with crushed blueberries. If the icing isn't blue enough, add blue foodcoloring. It's okay if buttercream is indigo-ish.
-Let the cakes cool on a wire rack before taking them out of the pan.
-Ice the cakes in a pattern you'll like (swirl, flowers, etc.)
-Back to the rice paper. Twirl the strips, and sprinkle them onto the cupcakes.
-Enjoy!

I can't wait 'til I get my cupcake shop!!! :D

Trees!

I just had a mini tree lighting ceremony at my grandmother's house for her snowman Christmas tree. I just thought I needed to Google some awesome Christmas trees for all the viewers (if there are any...)!

At first I thought they were three beach themed trees 'cause the house reminds me of a beach house in South Carolina...(for some odd reason!)

Since, we were talking about MINI Christmas trees, I thought this here feller tree was a good touch! I think my sister made a tree like that...but with ornaments! :)

I thought the doll was cool. But both (the tree and the doll) were really vintage...I like vintage stuff! :D

I added this tree because it reminded me of the person who held the record for the longest finger nails. Ya know, the one who got into a car crash and lost the record, yeah, that one!

http://www.coolpicturegallery.net/2008/12/how-to-make-christmas-trees-out-of.html <---I reccomend you go to this site. It has some pretty cool trees in there!
I think my two favorite would be the ladder tree or the bookshelf tree! :)

If you could find any cool trees or anything Christmasy (wreaths, stockings, etc.), contact me!
